Noor Student Competition; in recognition of Prof. Jackie Ying, became internationalized as it provided students from Persian-speaking countries of the region an opportunity for competition.

The second round of Noor Student Competition, commemorating Prof. Jackie Ying, has begun its work registering students since November 21st. This competition was organized in 2016 persuading students to make one-minute scientific and educational movies about students carrying out scientific experiments. The experiments could be conducted on all scientific fields such as physics, biology, mathematics, astronomy, or a combination of different sciences.
In addition, Noor Student Competition has provided grounds and conditions for the participation of students from Persian-speaking countries of the region such as Afghanistan. This contest has been introduced and publicized through scientific, educational, and cultural centers and the Persian-speaking students can compete with each other in a friendly and scientific atmosphere.
The first round of Noor Student Competition, in commemoration of Ibn al-Haytham, was held at the school-level in Iran while the second round will cover the Persian-speaking countries of the region. However, the competition will be organized so as to let all the students from the Muslim World take part in its following rounds.
In order to participate in this competition, students can visit www.mustafaprize.org, study terms and conditions of the event, and register under ‘Noor Competition’ section. Students must upload their works accordingly in the website.
It is worth mentioning that Prof. Jackie Ying was the 2015 Mustafa(pbuh) Prize laureate in the field of Bio Nanotechnology and the upcoming competition will be held in recognition of the remarkable efforts made by this prominent Muslim.
