Mustafa Prize Endowment Office

According to the existing tradition, the money for big scientific prizes is financed through donations made by giant economic corporations, science-based companies, owners of assets with an interest in science and technology or famous scholars who donate their properties and belongings to these initiatives. The prize money for the Mustafa Prize is no exception and it is set to be financed through the same mechanism. Based on this, the Mustafa Prize Endowment Office looks forward to receiving donations and endowments made by all people interested in developing science and technology in the OIC member countries. Based on the regulations, there are three main mechanisms through which people can contribute to the event.

1- Establishment of an investment fund for endowment

Through this channel, real and legal persons can buy bonds issued by the investment fund to later endow a part or full interest to the Prize. According to the statute, the incomes and benefits generated by this charity fund will be used to meet the following objectives:

1-1- Financing the prize money for Mustafa Prize

1-2- Granting financial support to initiatives and researches associated with Prize categories

1-3- Supporting the intergovernmental programs for development of technology in the Islamic countries

1-4- Supporting the projects in new technologies which are universally beneficial

2- Endowing the benefits derived from selling assets and properties

The Islamic Development Bank, a well-known economic corporation, is currently contributing to the construction of a giant shopping and business center in Tehran. Part of the financial benefits generated by the projects is set to go the Mustafa Prize. The trade center is planned to be one of the biggest in Iran and the Middle East and the revenues generated by the project will be used to finance the prize money.

3- Issuing endowment securities tradable in stock market

The revenues generated from selling these securities will also be used to finance the prize.

The charities, funds and institutions and people interested in development of science and technology can use the following contact information to get in touch with the secretariat of the Prize or the endowment office to register their donations to the initiative.
