Director of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) gave the welcome speech at the inauguration ceremony held at the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research at the University of Karachi.

The Chair of the scientific committee of the 5th Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) in Islamic countries said that one of the important goals is to create a platform for increased interaction among scientists. Scientists and leaders of the recognized science and technology organizations in the international arena will, together with other actors in the field of science and technology, exchange views on science, technology and innovation in order to promote the general level of welfare of human societies.

The Chair of the scientific committee of the 5th Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) in Islamic Countries said that it had special emphasis on women's gathering and holding scientific discussions to network and employ each other's experiences, ultimately taking into account the value of collective knowledge.

Around 70 scientists took part at the 5th round of Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) in Islamic countries at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) of the University of Karachi, Pakistan, and presented the latest findings in the field of health science.
